An attractive planter area has been added to the side of The Barn. Once completed, this should be a nice breezy and shady area to sit and chat or take a little break. (It also makes the side of the Barn look at bit nicer.)
Rod P. has been working on a wooden deck to the office area. I want to personally thank Rod for enduring the direct sun light and heat all day long for the past week while building the deck! Gracie M. has donated two huge pots to begin the deck decor. She also blessed us with some beautiful plants to fill them with. We will be putting up flower boxes and picnic tables with umbrellas to finish the look. Once again thank you to Rod and Gracie for the new look! Today, a fire pit was installed. This is the beginning of an area that we'll be very nice. Soon it will be covered and it will have nice benches that match the fire pit stone. A HUGE shout-out goes to Cyril A. for the extremely hard work he has put into the Storm Shelter on the Armadillo Resort property. Just in time for tornado season. Cyril has cleaned out the shelter, killed all the critters, laid a new stepping stone floor, Installed new lighting, and painted the walls and floors white to "help with claustrophobia if there are a bunch of people in there." Also, a HUGE thank you to Rod P. who built a brand new door to replace the dilapidated door that had been aged by time. When you come out next, you will notice that work is being done on the main entry to the club. This also is a work in progress. There's still a lot of work to be done. The area has also been seeded, but it will not be showing by this weekend yet. As many of you may have noticed, the walk way from the barn to the pool has been refurbished. It is not finalized yet. We will be removing the rocks underneath the stepping stones and replacing with sand. If this Blog is what I want it to be, it could be a great addition to the Website. This little quickie is to see how things work. |
