FROM THE GOLF CART OF EL RICKO
Some day, all the healthy eating, exercising people are going to feel real dumb laying in a hospital bed dying of nothing.
Once again, a great time at the 'Dillo. Read Julie's letter to see what you missed. A bunch of grownups (?) acting like kids. I love it!!
Sometimes it's a lot more fun (for me, at least) to just sit back and enjoy the festivities. Try it sometime, you just might like it. I would participate, but I'm afraid I might spill my beer.
In case you haven't heard, Cyril had a minor accident Wednesday, but all is ok. Can't say the same for his car, but, according to him, it was about time for another one anyway. He has promised to run the 5K this weekend and bring back the gold.
And, speaking of the 5K, you don't want to miss it. It's always a fun event, seeing so many familiar faces. If you would like to help out with monitoring or point directions for the runners, please let the office know.
We didn’t have quite enough people to play kickball this past weekend. But their disappointment turned to anticipation when I suggested that indoor redneck basketball required fewer players. I explained the basic rules in the barn, then Vixen and I asked all these Charter Players to suggest and implement added rules to make the game safer for everyone, and to keep the barn happy. And they came through, having great fun at the same time. A huge thank you to these family members: Craig, Kasey, Laura, Clark, Cyril, Ted, Daryl, and Harlan! Five minute quarters with breaks in between each, many landmark occasions occurred! Cyril came from out of nowhere to steal the ball. Possession changed hands often. It was fun for those playing, and from the comments I heard, it was also a fun spectator sport! Ask any of them how to play. Congrats, liquor, and bracelets to the winning team: Kasey, Clark, Ted, and Harlan!
We have enjoyed offering these tournaments as scheduled with many more to come. Sometimes we have introduced new games, and sometimes playing games that have always been played at the Armadillo. Keep in mind that our family can play all of these games at anytime! You don’t need Julie or Vixen to organize them. Wanna play volleyball….do it! A bunch of you want to throw some shoes…have fun! They are all there for you. Enjoy!
Lots of fun things coming up! We love seeing so many people participating in these. Mark these dates down on your calendar, and always check the Armadillo Newsletter. Prizes (and most importantly) CHAMPION bracelets are awarded to all winners…
